Well, I guess I can't agree with all of you. Ever since Steve "fixed" things it takes anywhere from 10 to 15 seconds for pages to come up. Sometimes longer!

Pete
Same here, also getting some timeouts. I am running broadband at 15megs and it was fine before the fix

Sorry to say I have to agree with GB, Things are slowing down on this end again as well. But at least we have a forum and can get to posts.

I feel somewhat responsible for the posting of the Slowness of the response time.
My initial thought was that as one who is constantly 'tinkering' with my system that I had personally done something that was slowing things down.

I certainly don't think Steve is remiss or lacking in his administration of the group but it does seem that there is a 'problem' somewhere along the line  and the logical place would be with the 'server' since it is an intermittent thing and is experienced by most users.

I, too, am 'computer' knowledgeable enough to know the 'problem' can be a very difficult one to pinpoint and solve.

With the comments that have been posted I seriously doubt that anyone is going to drop out of this group just because it slows down from time to time.

We all appreciate that Steve has done a great job of setting up this 'forum' and we have to realize that he also does have a LIFE to live on his own and cannot be a perpetual servant to the members of the group!

Anyone who uses a Scroll Saw must be 'patient by nature' so we will roll with the situation and be eternally happy that we have this source of information, friendship and knowledge of our 'craft'.

A REMINDER!!!
This and Steve's blog are financed by Steve and through DONATIONS!!!
Have you made a donation lately?!?!?!?!?

I'm still working on the issues. I am not certain at the moment what is going on but I suspect my hosting company has maxed out the server I'm on. Again, thanks for being patient.

I will not give up  ;D  The forum is my morning coffee time and I sneak a peek throughout the day.  I always have some pattern work or something to do so I get something done while waiting if it is slow.  I am like an old souped up 57 Chevy, I don't idle well.

"Like an ol '57 Chevy..."

Great line Judy!

Mind if I borrow it next time someone asks what an old guy like me is doing with so many 'irons in the fire' all the time?
