Graduation Pattern
« on: February 02, 2018, 09:22:53 am »
Hey Steve,
I was wondering. On your graduation patterns what font do you use and how hard would it be to add names and change the date on the one that has the silhouette of the boy and girl. I think that would be a good one for a friend of mine who has children graduating this year.  Thank you for any help.

Firstly Steve doesn't usually respond to the forum anymore even though it is call "Ask Steve"

He will respond to emails but he get very very backed up and so you never know.

If you let me know which pattern you are looking at, I or someone here can probably give you an answer or modify the pattern.

You can open Steve's PDF patterns with Inkscape and Gimp and they go from there.

Hi, Mimi,
I looked at Steve's catalog and, if you mean the pattern that looks like they are in a diamond, all that would need changed is to
replace the 7 in 2017 with an 8, Sorry I don;t know what font that is but, any number 8 at the right size would work and a lot of
people here can do that for you if you are not able
God Bless! Spirithorse

With that pattern I believe that it is Arial Bold Condensed.  About a 50 point size.  There is a little kerning between the numbers too.

Mimi what pattern are you looking at?
