Looks great Jeff, not too sure about the pink though!! One thing I have started doing on my stuff that has a base like this is setting my table at a 20-25 degree angle when I cut the base for a nice beveled look, actually I do most of mine on the table saw, another thing is if you have a router table you can use a round over bit to give it a rounded edge
