Finished shaping & gluing Kathy Wise's 140 piece Elk and have started applying the finish.
Woods Cherry, Brazilian Cherry, Walnut, Peruvian Walnut, Popular, Sapala, Beech, Basswood, Hickory & Maple

3 coats of spray poly was used as a finish. I don't use Danish oil

You have done a superb job on it Brian and when I did my own version of it I loved every minute, favourite part for me was making the antlers....... I added a big oval frame and tweaked the pattern to look more like the Stags over here.

Outstanding.  I'm getting more proficient by the day, but I'm not ready to tackle Intarsia patterns yet.  If I mess up with pine or aspen, I'm not out a whole lot of money.
