What blade would you recommend for cutting 3/4 inch select pine?

Lakelad it will depend upon what you are cutting.  For most cutting in soft woods such as pine a #3 or #5 is the way to go although you can use a #7 or #9 as well.  The #3 and #5 will allow you to make tighter turns.

Ditto what DW says but I like to use the Ultra Reverse Blades as the cut comes out pretty smooth.

Also, be careful with Pine as sometimes there is more grain than you think and sometimes the blade has a mind of its own.

It depends also how intricate the pattern is. The FD-UR # 5 or # 7.

Just this morning before work I was scrollin some 3/4 white pine and used a #5 scroll reverse flying Dutchman blade and it did a great job for the deer plaques I was making.

Sometimes I glue two layers of 3/4 " white pine together and cut it just fine with my FD spirals.

I cut 3/4" stock doing double bevel inlay using 3/8"cedar and 3/8" maple stacked.  I use Flying Dutchman polar number five.  Seven cuts a bit slower for me.

I wonder why after using all fdur blades mentioned above that I find the....FD-UR #1 cuts faster and much better?

While cutting Christmas ornaments earlier I was using the #1 for all cuts, but cutting the outside of the ornament
I decided to try the #3 and then the #5.  My feelings were that they DID NOT CUT BETTER.  To me they cut SLOWER.

Had more control with following that line with the #1.

I might just try some of those #1. Always used 3 and 5 but always willing to try a new one . You never know might find a new favorite.

Ditto on the FD UR#1. Got some on my last order from Mike's and find them very useful on Ply and hardwood.

I am using some FDUR #1's right now to cut ornaments.  I've been primarily an Olson user, but I'm amazed at how well these cut and how long they stay sharp.
