makin money
« on: January 23, 2015, 07:51:27 pm »
I posted a picture with two baskets I had made, and also asked for your opinions on a price, a lot of you said 15$. Just wanted to say that I sold the first one (for 15$), woohoo! I also posted a pic of an Ohio State Buckeyes O with my friends name under it for his birthday. Well after bringing it to him at school another kid saw it and asked me to make one for his dad with the UCF knights logo. I charged him 8$, and now someone else might want their own personalized one. I'm paying off my saw little bit by bit, and all of your help has been very useful!

Matt that is great!  The thing to remember that unless you have a ton of hours to spend doing nothing but cutting and finishing you are only one person and can only make so much at a time.  If you make smart choices on what you make and how you price them they will sell.  They buying public is fickle though :)  Sometimes what you might consider substandard and not worth any attention some will think the opposite and really want it.  Anyway, keep it going you are doing great work.

Congratulations on your sales, as a few here have already said, word of mouth is always the best way to get asked to make more. With the standard of work you have done, there should be no problem selling it - looks great and nice cutting too.
