It make a little sound as the feet flap, but probably not enough to drive your daughter nuts. How about a drum? or a wooden mallet?

Hey Rog,  I can also, from personal experience, vouch for the instrument I've played all my adult life....TUBA!   
I have been a pro Musician for the past 30 years, though now being Disabled I don't do any touring.  It's a hard life as a touring Musician.   ;)
