halloween
« on: September 06, 2014, 06:09:18 am »
Just finished the two Halloween luminaries in last issue of scrollsaw woodworking and crafts.Made a couple of changes,I used 1/4 inch birch instead of 1/8 th.Made the stand different and the backer I used poly binders I picked up at staples store.Only problem with poly is if you use a hot light or candle too close, the poly could melt.I find that they are transparent enough  for just regular room lighting.

Gordie those came out great.  You could always use those LED tea candles.  No chance of getting too hot to melt the backing.  Thanks for sharing this with us.

Those are really great.  Does the mag sell the patterns?  I really don't want to have to subscribe to the magazine.  I haven't been able to find them at their website.  Guess I will have to wait and buy it when it gets to the back issue catalog.
