Personal messages

Russ, Steve, Ed...anybody...
I sent a member a personal message a couple days ago and have not heard back.  I was wondering, with the new layout, how one knows they have a personal message.  Before, your messages were listed in the upper right side of the page when you pulled up the forum.  Does the "My Messages" tab light up when you have a message?  Someone, please send me a personal message so I know.  Thanks...julie

Julief, at the top of the forum page between Profile and Gallery buttons there is a My messages button, place your curser over it and 2 items appear, Read your messages and send a message. Click on read your messages to retrieve them. Hope this helps.

Thanks Mike but I knew that much.  What I was wondering is how you know you have a message unless you check it regularly.  Is there an indicator that tells you to check?  Does the My Message light up blue or what.  How does the person I sent a message to know there is a message?

Julie when i get a message it auto sends me an E mail alert

Thanks Dave,  I used to have her e-mail address, but I changes computers a while back and no longer have it.  It is no longer listed in the member info.  I'll just wait it out.

When someone sends me a PM through the forum I also automatically get an alert sent to my E mail address telling me I have that message
but I suppose if the member does not have an E mail address registered on the forum then it wont happen

I'm sure the forum has it, she just doesn't have it published anymore in the member info.  Thanks for your help.

Hi Julie when you gets a mesage, on the my messages tab there well be a number pop up in the tab telling how many new messages you have.
