In todays email from Steve there were questions about where to buy good crafting wood. Where I live, the best I have found for poplar, red oak, maple, pine, and a couple of others has been at my local Lowes. I am just getting into intarsia, so the poplar there is awesome with so many varying colors. For my Baltic birch, I go to Michaels. The boards are generally straight, not too many repairs. My kids always get me gift cards for both stores, so I haven't spent too much of my own money. And for my exotic woods, just like Steve said,
http://www.Ocoochhardwoods.com. I just received my order from them and I couldn't be happier. Hope this helps!
