I have only been scrolling a few years. For inside cuts, I like sharp "corners", cut from both sides, as opposed to turning in place. I start near a line and cut TO THE RIGHT (CCW) in the cutout, to the corner, skip and taper sharply into the next line and repeat as necessary. Then go back to all the corners and cut in from the other direction.
The reason for going CCW is that when you go back to finish the corners, you are using the sharp side (your right) side of the blade to restart where you made your first round of cuts. Your left side of the blade is less aggressive and doesn't work as well.
Also, if there is a partial circle, I start "somewhere" in the middle and again cut to the right. However, now at the end (stopping) point, back up part way, and go into the waste area, turn the piece, & back into the original cut. Follow the original cut and this will line you up to finish the circle. You are also now cutting CCW.
Hope you understand what I'm trying to explain. I don't!!!!!
