ex 21 repair
« on: June 28, 2014, 10:29:41 am »
Hello everyone,
I am having a problem with my saw. I have a Excalibur 21. The problem I am having is when I go to turn up the speed it slows down and then it speeds up. Not sure where I can go and get it repaired. I have a Dewalt as a back up . I have had the ex 21 for a few years and really like it. I was just wondering if any one knew what might be the problem or if I have to find a place to get it fixed.  I live in Oklahoma and not sure where to take it. any help would be great thanks  in advance.
Mimi

According to Julief http://stevedgood.com/community/index.php?topic=2561.30 (page 3) the speed control has a lifetime warranty.  Not sure who she talked to to get replacement parts but Ray at Seyco  http://www.seyco.com/ has a good reputation for helping with problems.

Good luck and let us know how things work put.

You won't have to take it in.  Call Ray.  He will send you the parts and talk you through the repair.  He's the best.

You might if you have a air compressor blow the dust out it could have alot of dust in it and around the knob giving you grief, static from the sawdust can play havoc on electronics.
