I do small projects small Toys and Puzzles for my Grandkids mainly. I'm starting to get into making custom knife handles. I saw a hardwood assortment on Amazon (from Rockler Woodworking) 20lbs for $29.99. I thought I'd give it a shot. I was very happy in my assortment I got
1 8"x8" 1/8" Walnut
1 8"x6" 1/8 Mahognany
Several pieces of 4/4 Walnut vering widths and lengths up to 14" long
3 pieces of Padauck all 4/4 stock up 14" 1x3 and 1x4
I 6"x6" 3/4" Honduras Mahognany I not sure what I'm going to do with it but it is beautiful. Probably make a grip for my 45 LC.
1 6"x6" 3/4" Maple
2 1x4x4/4x12" White Oak
2 pieces of 8/4 stock Mahognany and Red Oak (Great for small Boxes)
1 6/4 Poplar
1 5/4 Birch
So that's my list if it helps anyone who does small projects like me. I will buy from them again. Great for making small boxes, knife handles, and toys.
