Thanks everyone for the kind response.  both parts are 3/8 cypress siding--My son was building a big house for a guy and had ordered the siding but the wife didn't like it (among other things) and told my son to just burn it--needless to say I have about 300 bf of it It cuts great but is a little messy, lots of dust--It take a stain real well--Richard

You did GOOD!!! Glad you are back and make the sawdust fly!  Just don't stay hunched over that saw for too long at a time.
