3 New Kanji Patterns and sample cuts
« on: April 05, 2014, 10:42:49 pm »
A few of you asked for more Kanji, so here I give you three more.  My favorite is probably the first, which represents courage, Followed by "Mother", and the last is Strength.  If there is one you would prefer, let me know, and if I think I can do it right, I'll give it a shot.  I'll have cut all these patterns and will post those pictures in a minute.

Courage, Mother, and Strength.  On the Mother cutting, I try the "Floating" technique which means, I tilted the coin and tried to cut a wedge for the pieces holding the picture.  This creates the illusion that there is nothing holding the center image in since the surface is cut through.  I like that technique, but it is tricky.

I think it might have been more appropriate to have used the floating method on the 'Courage' one. :) Excellent job, as usual.
