READ:
"Pattern Uploads" "Posting Patterns", "Copyright Trademark Issues"!!!!

If you create a pattern make sure you are not violating any trademark or copyrights. For example, uploading a pattern of the Harley Davidson emblem is a no-no. Disney characters, School mascots, College mascots, NFL, NASCAR, NHL, MLB, NBA and some celebrity images, etc... are all on the forbidden list.

Even using something that "resembles" can be an infringement.

H-D is notorious for going after copyright violators!

If I ever meet Willie G. I wonder if he will want to get his Buck knife out and carve my tattoo off? ;D

Dave, have you had a look on Google images? I'm sure you could make a pattern out of something that's on there.

If you use someone else's picture to make a pattern it is also copyright infringement. That's becoming a big issue nowadays and it's actually hurting everyone because the designers aren't posting because of them being used. Also, people aren't sharing their work because of that image being used. Why not ask one of those designers about buying the pattern. Some may even give you a copy of the pattern but if not, then buy it as it's their way of making a little money. It's the same as someone making a project to sell. JUST REMEMBER EVERY IMAGE UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED IS COPYRIGHTED!!!!!!

Try this. Sorry I couldn't make it a hyperlink. There might be something there you might be able to use or modify.
