I need to make a box to hold all my ornaments

I cut 21 ornaments to tell the Nativity Story on Christmas eve.  http://stevedgood.com/community/index.php?topic=15037.0

The christmas ornaments were great for my family.  My 19 month old granddaughter loved taking each ornament around to show everyone as we took turns reading the story.  Then she'd take it to the Christmas tree to hang it.

But now I have a problem.  Where am I going to store those ornaments?  I'd like to make a nice box to put them in, but I don't have allot of wood joining experience or equipment.  Just a scroll saw, small bandsaw, 8" power miter saw, and hand tools.  Does anyone have a good idea for making a nice looking wood box?  4.25 x 4.25 by 6" long?

You could make a stack of BB Ply with a cutout the same size as the outside of your ornaments (if they're the same size). They would be protected and take a minimum of space.

Clay,
I made some Christmas ornaments several years ago (2002) and made boxes for them (three sets actually). Here is how I did it, it may give you some ideas and I'll try to post some pictures.
My boxes measure 4" x 6" x 2" deep and the sides and top are 1/8" plywood and the bottom is 1/4" plywood. I used finger joints on the corners and bottom. The top is a lift off style made of two layers of 1/8" ply. The top most piece is stained dark and the backer is cut to just fit inside the box.

Hope this helps give you some ideas.

one way to make a box is to take several pieces of wood and cut out a big hole in them and glue them all together in a stack.

Another option, I found some nice decorative cardboard boxes at michaels that fit the ornaments really well. I have to finish cutting my set, I got distracted about half way through.
