Sock Monkey
« on: November 12, 2013, 12:39:44 am »
Daughter requested as sock monkey, but a normal silhouette type pattern doesnt really create a recognizable shape.  This coin was one of the trickiest I've done because of the very small gaps in the lines that hold the various body parts together.  Intending to leave a small gap in the leg, I accidently cut through, meaning, the whole monkey is suspended by about 1/32" piece of metal in the tail  (gap in the separating line).  The head is held on by two very small gaps in the mouth.

I'm glad this one is over, hopefully she will treat it gently.

I like that Randy.  I suspect you might have to make another as soon as friends see it.  Thanks for sharing this with us.

If she doesn't treat it gently, make her cut the next one.  :) :) :)  Another great project.
