I have a question regarding the dimensions of wood indicated in your patterns. Are you referring to the nominal size or the actual size? Thanks in advance.

When Keith and I produce our patterns, we put the actual size. The nominal sizes can vary from supplier to supplier and we feel it is safer to state the actual size that is needed for the project to insure that those creating our patterns have large enough pieces. I tend to slightly round up sizes on my patterns when creating the call-out list, just to allow a small margin of error.
