It's done....

Out of surgery and awake by 10:00...Home by 11:30.
Temporary 'stiffening' cast from hand to mid-bicep. So far no pain to speak of but the 'block' will wear off in about an hour.
Dr. said everything went well and we'll just have to wait & see about the ulnar nerve damage repair but he is optimistic.
Will get the 'cast' off next Wed. and then just let everything heal.

My Thanks once again for the prayers & good wishes of my wonderful extended FAMILY!

GB do you have any of that good anesthetic that comes in the square bottle or one of those that were PINCHed, or some such to help you along. They had me on so much happy pills that I didn't need any and didn't even think of it!.

Gabby...I think I am running on my built up reserve of the 'amber meds'!

12 hours since I woke up and have yet to take a 'pain pill' of which I have plenty. Not trying to be a martyr or anything but I just have felt only slight twinges. We'll see what morning brings.

Feeling darn lucky so far but my doc is a very good bone & joint fixer!

Am pleased the operation went well, now comes the hard part - following doctors orders and giving it total rest.  Wishing you a fast and pain free recovery.

You're still on the prayers list G B. Good to hear all went well. You seem to be typing well with one hand. More power to your elbow as they say. Hope you don't have lace-up shoes, could be a bit awkward. LOL.

Roy haven't you heard about Loafers or house slippers? He's supposed to be taking it easy.
If you get him to tying his own shoes he'll be out there in the shop causing irrepairable harm. Let's let him hoist a few more with the other arm till it heals a bit more.  ??? ??? ??? Take yer time Mr Beard,
