Bar sign
« on: November 12, 2013, 11:12:04 am »
My friend has made a bar in his garage for everyone to hang out in on weekends and he requested a sign to hang over the bar with some chains and so I made this up for him. I ran in to a few issues since the sign is 2 feet long and of course my scroll saw only has a 16" throat so i had to reverse the blade and run everything backwards. I have to admit that since i havent been scrolling very long that it was a bit tricky to run everything backwards when ive barely learned to do it the normal way lol!

You did great.  A spiral blade could have solved your issues as well.  Thanks for sharing this with us.

I actually did give the spiral blades a try on it and I wasn't able to keep a smooth line with them so I went back to the regular blades, I obviously need to practice with them before going headlong into a project with them lol

That's a good looking project. Have you tried spiral blades so you don't have to reverse?
