I keep getting pop ups for internet explorer 9, does anyone know anything about it. I currently have windows xp, would it be worth it to change, or should I stay with what I have.  Thanks  edward

If you're changing, consider going to Chrome for your browser.

Interesting

I use IE9 and love it.  I find am quite use to the favorites bar and the favorites so that I will not change.

I have chrome loaded and use from time to time and it doesn't seem any faster or slower.

I think the issue is that the web developers take there time becoming compatible with IE.  They no longer figure out IE9 and IE10 is out.

As far as I know, Windows XP does not support IE9.  Are you sure you have IE9 with Windows XP?

Does your IE have a a pop-up blocker and do you have it enabled?  If you do, the pop-ups could be some sort of virus, trojan, tracker program, etc.

Not much help, but it might lead you somewhere.

Not wanting to start a debate but it's more that IE8/9 is getting closer to conforming to the standards set by W3C (the group that sets the standards for coding web sites).  IE is getting better then they used to be - ask any web designer about trying to make a web site work in IE5 or IE6.
