OOps, But I do remember that as a young boy I was awaken many time by the sound of hooves out side the house. Problem was we did not keep any animals. That was when horses and cows were allowed to roam freely about the town. They used to get in when "SOMEONE" forgot to close the gate. I remember mother shoutin " Who left the gate open?", then the adrenalin rush, the shouting, and the pitch black and the sound of running animals. It is a wonder we weren't killed.
Thanks, you sparked a long forgotten memory Rob. Now cows and horses are kept on pastures we don't have fences any more.

Well Clyde, it's funny how a conversation, or in this case posts, can go way off course. We started off at the beach, and now, here we are  hearing stories of your boyhood days. Quite funny too. At least the conversation brought back happy memories. Now that can't be bad. :) :) :) :) :)
