Since the width of the wood was 2 3/8 inches the saw of course will not cut more than 2 inches. I cut the general shape for the car on one piece( the center one ) and then traced it onto the top of the stacked other two. The wheels were cut out of a piece of the scrap from one of the piggy banks as well only I used a 2 inch hole saw to cut the wheel. This not only makes a decent wheel it helps me use up my scrap. It was just a matter of sanding for the wheels, then staining with water based ebony stain. Hope that helps answer your questions.
