Pattern help needed
« on: April 09, 2013, 06:06:56 pm »
Hi everyone. I'm working on this on my own as well, but after seeing what some of you can do I thought I better ask the experts for help. I was hoping to have it in the area of 8x11". I'm also looking for ideas on guitar patterns. I love the one on Steves site but it is too busy for the project I'm thinking about. Hopefully my attatchment isn't too big. Thanks a lot everyone!

I gave it a quick shot for you. You may want to add a few more "bridges".

Sweet fancy moses! I'm about 3 hours in to my pattern and it isn't near that quality. Thanks!

Wow, thanks everyone! I might actually do a practice of each one and see which one I would like to use for my project. Thanks again!

Man oh man you guys are good. I'm like Manitoulinbound, 3 hours into trying a certain portrait and am no where close to what you guys get. I'm gonna give it a few more shots before asking for help. I tip my hat to Old Crow, Mahendra and EIEIO.

And to think EIEIO, you do it without the Bamboo Tablet. WOW, my socks are knocked off. I think making patterns is like being a sports star. You don't realize how good others are until you try to do it yourself.

Mike , thank you very much :)
Keep practicing and posting your attempts (if it looks okay or not, does not matter) so that the seniors like Don can give you tips on how to improve on each  step .I can say I have by Don's tips and guidance.
