Tai Chi Sword #3
« on: April 13, 2013, 01:01:54 pm »
This is for a shorter person. Overall length is 36", blade is 1.5" tapering to 1" at point, by 1/2" thick. Blade is maple and handle is Yucatan Rosewood. Handle from pommel to finger guard is 10". Weight = 10.5 oz.

Here's a bigger picture - the old ones are pretty small.

EIEIO, you sure do some amazing stuff. A great talent indeed on both all of your work and the patterns you make. Thank you for sharing.

ShadowB6 - Thanks for the very kind words. Retirement (and free time) is a great thing.

Newfie - I've made my own patterns but have been referring to some custom sword web sites. Here's one I looked at:http://www.little-raven.com/RS/MA/Gim.html

I would really like to make one of those - will have to consider it after we get all the trees picked up and this snow goes away.

Thanks for sharing these with us.
