Quick Question
« on: March 29, 2013, 09:53:12 pm »
On Steve's post about his patterns downloaded and talking about the emails he got by new scrollers, he mentioned about entry and mid level saws. He said Dewalt, Delta, and Excalibur are mid- level saws. What is an advanced or high level saw?

Excalibur or hawk are the ones that come to mind. Even though mine (mind) doesn't work much any more.  ;D

Well Dustin, that is just a mater of perspective. In my view, Excalibur saws are advanced or upper level saws. Hegner and hawk are considered upper level saws, but they don't have features that I desire. Then there is the Eclipse. It does not have a lifting upper arm so again, not one that I would want.
So, what is the answer? You and I have a great saw in the DeWalt 788. I have no desire for anything else, for now.

Yeah the DW788 is a great saw. I don't plan on getting anything else for a long time, just curious what would be considered a better saw. Thanks
