Thanks GB, but I was asking about our own community and the toy forum being pretty slow. Maybe there's just not that much interest, or not enough $$$ in it. Anyway, I like toys so maybe I'll post some as they develop.

Toys, cars, trucks, planes, etc sell really well.  I'm like you Ray, not sure why there is not more interest on the forums for them.

The plans at toymakers are expensive! It would be worth it if the toys sold easily.

Making our own set of Plans for Toys.....
« Reply #5 on: August 01, 2013, 09:04:23 am »
We could post our own free toy designs same as we do the portraits. Someone with a good toy idea could post the idea and ask for some designs to choose from (or post their own design). We had a wooden knife design posted this week. I posted two truck designs recently. Someone posted a push duck not too long ago (maybe not the design, but the finished toy was shown).

If we got two designs requested per week, and 1 or 2 plans returned for each, we'd pretty soon have a nice collection of unique plans in time for Christmas.

Here's a first request to get us started:
How about a kid's play tool set made from wood - maybe pliers, hammer/mallet, saw (not sharp), screwdriver, ruler, and a tool box to hold them. Each tool could be one person's contribution, but any number of tools could be made to assemble the tool kit.

Ray perhaps place your request in a new thread so it does not get over looked.  That is a great plan idea BTW.

Yup, I support Ray's idea as well.  Let's try to get some plans for toys we can use.
