Here's my first attempt. I think I am going to need lots of practice before I tackle Don's pattern, but I'll get there eventually.

The strange colouring is because it was a piece of scrap ply that had been painted. I just sanded it smooth instead of removing all the paint as I'm only practising.

Martin,you are most welcome, very nicely done  keep practicing as I was advised in attempting patterns and scrolling, you will get there ,when I can make patterns with no artistic background and the first pattern I made was in Aug of 2012 (fairly new) to reach where people have cut my patterns that means if you have the interest and get encouraged every time you attempt,anyone can do it all the best and thank you once again for your kind words.

I found another shot of Marina which I thought might be easier, at least from my point of view of cutting it, if anyone would care to have a go at it.

I finally got around to having a go at Mahendra's pattern, as it appeared to be the easiest. I'll be trying them all when I get some decent plywood. The plywood I used was horrible stuff, even to someone like me with no knowledge of wood. I used a #0 Olson spiral blade. It came out better than it looked while I was working on it, but there's a couple of places where bits broke off. I'll probably send this as an experiment to see if it can survive the Russian postal system.
