Stack Cutting Gone Good
« on: February 18, 2013, 11:35:30 pm »
Well, I had a bad experience with my first stack cutting project (over Christmas). Then I managed to make that project work. Today I did an even bigger project and managed to stack cut 3 of this design. One I am putting on Tropical Walnut. One is on a BB painted black. The 3rd is waiting to be put on some background. Over all 3 for 1 cutting. I am pleased with this.

Excellent Troy.  Patience and a good sharp blade help with stack cutting, that and making sure your table is square to the blade:)  Thanks for sharing this with us.

Those are great pieces....
what thickness are they/  ...they appear to be somewhat thick.

The one with the black in it is 1/8 in BB cut and glued to another 1/8 in BB painted black. It is placed on an easel.  The one with the brown is quite thick. It is 1/8 in BB cut and glued to a 3/4 in Tropical Walnut. It is hung on a wall.
