I seem ot remember Walter Cronkite and the 20th Century, Wild Kingdom and Disney.  Us kids were the remote control back then.  But you better not change channels unless you were told to!

Emphasis on that last line!!!   I fondly recall Mr. Cronkite.

Oh my!  this does take me back.  I watched Marlin Perkins and Wild Kingdom every week.  Too bad they don't have show like that anymore.  Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

Mr. Perkins was director of our St. Louis Zoo until his final retirement and I had the privilege of meeting and talking with him many times. He was always out on the zoo grounds and happiest when talking with children and usually had a chimp in his arms.

I was born in 1960.  I grew up watching Marlin Perkins on Sunday along with the wonderful world of Disney! 

You are just a baby, I was in Uncle Sam's Navy by then, but I got to watch a lot of WK growing up.
