She was the reigning Miss Muscatine at the time of her crowning.
Her pageant talent is tap dancing and her platform is "Tourette Syndrome: The Involuntary Companion Syndrome."
A resident of Burlington, she attends Mt. Mercy University.
Her ambition is to earn a bachelor's degree in public relations and to become a pharmaceutical sales representative.
She will represent Iowa at the Miss America 2013 pageant, scheduled for January in Las Vegas. The pageant will be broadcast live on the ABC television network.
