I get mine in offcuts from out local kitchen fitters, they use it for the worktops. It turns beautifully and makes fantastic pens. I have even used it to make the "stacked bowls" similar to the bowls made on the scrollsaw. you need very sharp scrapers to cut it on the lathe and then sand it wet with wet and dry paper, I go down to 15,000 grit then polish it with a burnishing compound to get a high gloss finish. I don't know how well it would work on the scrollsaw though. Hope this helps you GB.
