I recently posted about a problem I was having with loosing tension. I tried all of the friendly advice I got here and it did make some improvement but the problem persisted. I took the entire saw apart to check for other causes and discovered that the poor little thing is almost completly worn out. The vibration from the worn parts causes the tension arrangement to loosen as the saw runs. The longer it runs the worse it gets. I possibly cound have band aided things to get a little more use out of this tool but instead, after reading many good reviews I have ordered a Craftsman saw. Thanks to all who tried to help and wish me luck with my new saw when it arrives.

Well good, you'll be back in business enjoying scrolling again in no time...and with a new saw! I had a craftsman scroll saw. Many of the folks here use one too, with great results.
Enjoy your new saw!
