A joint effort
« on: November 17, 2012, 03:09:34 pm »
My wife and I were discussing the Christmas gifts for the year. I was happy we could save some money by making some nice gifts for friends and family. She was sad because she felt like the gifts were just from me and not her because I am the one making them. So this week I got the idea to have her come out and work with me in the shop. I will set things up and we will take turns cutting some of the designs on the projects. We are headed out to the shop in about an hour or so. She actually seemed pretty happy to join me in this.

Ok, I have added some pictures of my wife, Sherry, working on my saw. We worked this project together. The interesting thing is we started on this project and my saw broke. We had to go get it replaced (good thing I had a warranty). An hour later we were back to work. She had so much fun with this.

The snowflake is a pattern I made from hand cutting a snowflake.

What a great idea! I don't have that problem as my wife makes quilts. So if I don't make the gift, she does.
Have fun in the shop with the little lady!

Ahhhhhhhhh, this could get interesting.  Your wife may like it so much she will take over your saw until you buy her one!   ;D ;D ;D

Be careful what you ask for. Scrolling is a lot like crack. Once you do a little, you want to do a little more, and sooner or later you just can't stop. You may lose your shop. :o

Well, we have a solution. My step dad has one just like mine. He is getting ready to move into an apartment. When he does his saw gets stored at my shop. Then we can work side by side. =)

Watch out getting ya wife interested. ( If ya want any alone time.) I thought i would get 4-wheelers  go riding with friends and kid's.  Took her once was never able to go by myself again. Then I bought a Motorcycle, Thought she might be scared to ride. ( She was) but once i got her on the B seat or a ride with me. Never left the house without her even to corner store I couldn't get her to go to in her car. She's gonna be right there telling ya what ya doing wrong and showing ya how to do it if ya let her in ya man cave (Shop). LOL Also could be great time together who knows. GOOOD LUCK.

great doing things together, my wife tried it last year but she's getting nervous of keeping on track and making turns.
so after two attempts she quit....
