I have a piece of poplar and a piece of oak and I would like to coat with lemon oil.Usually I just soak the piece. This piece has to be glued. Do I glue it before I dunk it or after? Thanks. Dave....

Trust me, glue first, dip second. I had some sleds fall apart last year because I dipped first. The glue doesn't seem to work well with the oils.
