Some pictures from the past two weeks shows.  Picture Booth 3 shows where we added the pine garland to display ormaments. As I stated in another post, Sole 1   LOL

Looks a very nice display there Billy, and you had nice weather for it too. Last time I did an outside shoe it absolutely poured with rain and most of my stuff had water marks on it , I had to re-polish most of it.

Billy, I really like your display, especially your sign! What is the sign material? Also, is the pole PVC? I have a big show on the 27th and would like to make a sign like yours? Hope you did good and sold a lot!

The sign is made of 1/8 Baltic birch. I cut some 3/4 X 1 inch strips and nailed them around the perimeter for support.  The letters are cut from 1/4 inch ply and glued.  The other side is actually a banner I had made at Staples. Reads the same.  If I had it to do over, I would skip the banner and use cut out letters on both sides. The pole is 1/1/2 inch PVC. Look real close and you can see a small block of wood between the PVC and the frame, upright side.   It is bolted in an has two purposes. 1 It keeps the sign from swinging and 2  the screw going thru the PVC and into the frame provides a stop for the pole.  The pole is 1" rigid electrical conduit 10' long. slid the PVC over the conduit and this allows the sign to pivot in the wind. I used eye hooks on the top to secure the PVC to the frame so that I could hang the sign if needed. I just lash the conduit to the canopy leg with Velcro.  I got this idea from a video I saw a while back  Might have been from Steve's sight,  but I can not find it now.  The scroll sawyer that made the video had a sign similar that ssi PUZZLES.  It is a long video but well worth the watch.  I would love to give him credit.

You have a very nice display booth, with a lot of great items for sale. It's a shame the ornaments aren't selling better; they look nice on Christmas trees.

The first show, the local town street fair  ( The Crab Carnival) I sold around $300. Booth fee was $75, so  not bad not great. There were over 100 craft vendors and the competition for the dollar was huge.  Started at 12th Street and went down to 3rd Street. we were at 5th street.I think half the folks were broke when the got to us. Undecided about next year for now. The second show was at a local church.  Guess there were about 300 people and I did $200.From talking to others, The only ones here that dime more were the Brunswick stew and that was there major attraction.    I prefer the small shows more. The crowd at the first show was sometime so large that folks on the other side of the street could not get over to our side, an all the vendors were on one side, with the other for walking. I cut some kids puzzles - teddy bear, cat, dog, crab duck 3-7 pieces each. I finish them with bees wax and mineral oil   ( nontoxic) and sell for $5. they moved really good. I had to get busy and cut more after the frist show and I am glad I did. I only do about 4 shows a year. Not a business for me, just a way to lighten the inventory so I can make more.
