something different

This comming weekend some of our scroll saw group are going to be at the Childrens Miracle Network Fair and fundraiser,at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center, where we will have our saws and make small figures, toys, and puzzles which are given to the children. We do this each year and the experience is wonderful. It gives us a chance to do something positive and appreciated with our hobby without financial gain. The smiles are pricless and the good feelings stay forever.

What a great way to support a wonderful cause and also support scroll sawing! I think that when people see how it's done, they are quite intrigued and showing them is far better than explaining it to them.  I hope you find time to get some pictures and post them here so we can see!  I hope you have great weather and a wonderful weekend! :)

Weather!

How about a 'Community Prayer Group' praying for good weather at the "Fair" so the Children will be there and enjoy the day....

I'm on it!

That is so fantastic to be able to help those children. I wish we had a scroll saw group near me so we could do something like that. Thanks for sharing that with us.  :)

I don't remember who said it and I probably won't get the quote entirely right but it fits what you folks are doing. It says a man never stands taller than when he bends to help a child. At any rate what you are doing is commendable.
