My saw did the same thing.  I blogged about it in this post on my blog. http://lumberjocks.com/scrollgirl/blog/30009   I think there was a bad batch of these or a bad casting or something like that.  I called Ray where I purchased the saw and he fixed me up right away.  Where did you get your saw?  Perhaps you should give them a call and let them know about it.  There is nothing you could have done to cause it to break and it should still be under warranty.  Please let me know how you do.  I  will be watching the board here for your answer or you can email me at sheilalandrydesigns@gmail.com.

Good luck! :)

Mine also broke after about a month. Ray@Seyco exchanged it for another machine. He also said a bad batch got delivered and the company was aware of it. Please post what you find out about yours.

I had the same problem, after 7 months.
Axminster (UK) sent me the spare part and i put it in myself.
I also got a very clear, detailed manual to set the machine again.
It's not easy to put it in, but the saw is running 100% again.

Now i wonder if i also had the "bad badge" because i have a european machine.
