nerves are frayed..
« on: July 06, 2012, 04:50:50 pm »
Its one week today and still no power. I can't get on the forum because I can't regularly charge my cell phone and no power for computers. I'm so tired, every day is full of worry and heat. Wish I can get on and look at peoples projects and read all the funny banter. Perhaps the most frustrating part is that wood working is my escape time. Its how I unwind. No lathe no scroll saw no woodburner. But alas I hope all is well with everyone and I can't wait until I can get on regularly. Have a good one folks!

Sorry to hear that you are having such a rough time.  Hopefully the weather will break soon and it will cool off and you will have all your power restored and things will get back to normal.  I received a notice from Winfield in Michigan that said that they have also been without power for several days and they may not get it back until Sunday.  It seems that this weather is affecting everyone.   Hang in there and we will all be here when you are back online!  In the mean time, try not to worry about things you can't control.  Be safe!  (((HUGS)))

Hang in there mate, at least you only lost power in the storms, you and your family weren't injured. When the powers back on you will have plenty of time to catch up with things here, untill then my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I noticed you didn't mention the television or dvd player.  It's times like this that let you see what's important in your life.  Hang in there Scott, things will get back to normal soon!

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Last night at about 3 in the morning I heard the greatest sound in the world, the sound of fans, lights, appliances and whatnot kicking on. We finally have power and water! Thank the lord! They are making a lot more progress on getting power up now, which is good because there is still many people without power, and the temperatures here are horrid without fans or AC. Not to mention people like myself that have Wells and get can't water. But thanks again everyone for your kind words and letting me vent...  ;)

Thanks guys! Dan you are exactly right. And the shower I took was probably the longest one I have ever taken LOL. It was a little bit of heaven that's for sure!
