Marilyn Monroe
« on: June 10, 2012, 02:18:12 am »
Hi, This is my version of Marilyn Monroe , It is  Two patterns combined along with some hand draw bits ! A Great big thank you to Bob , Aka 'Triple B ' and of course Paul , Aka 'Grampa'  for your superb patterns ( without you guys it i would be lost as i am hopeless at patterns , So once again thank you  ;) ).Also thank you to Mehandra for pointing me to one on the net ! The person who wanted this done liked different aspects of both patterns and asked if i could combine them which i have done . He also wanted me to capture that cheeky smile of hers ! I tried to hand draw it but i am not sure if it turned out the way i imagined but i still like it and so does the client !( It took me one and a half hrs to cut the eyes and mouth ! )
It is cut from 6.5mm Birch ply.  Hope you like it !

Excellent cutting. You did a good job on making the pattern work for you.  Portrait work is not always or even usually fast.  Thanks for sharing this with us.
