Thanks for you reply, I have often wondered about what power surges would do to my power tool especially the inverters in my lathes. I have a sparkie coming here soon I will ask him about it then.

Thanks for your relies every one, there is  a lot of information here. Excellent post EIEIO very informative, being wood turning I do have a good head start on things I need.
Marg, I will contact  J & C Tin Timber Supplies, also just put a couple boards of Blackheart Sassafrass. Unfortunately the wood shows are to far away I used to go to the one in Adelaide but they don't have them there any more, living in the centre of the Territory  has it disadvantages.

I wonder if it posible to get a surge suppressor put in the switch board?

That saw kinda looks like a spin off of the craftsman I have and use to use, mine didn't last long and I resorted to the aqaurium pump, but make sure you get the bigger ones for the 50+ gallon tanks the small one just doesn't cut it.

It probably is, Here in Aust you can buy this same saw in four differant colours depending on what company you go to.

Definitely  aqaurium pump will be the way to go.

General Scroll Saw Talk / How to set to start scrolling

How to set to start scrolling, I originaly bought the S/saw for another idea that didnt work.

What do I need? apart from a scroll saw.

How do I set it?  Some people say a tilt stand, I guess sitting down is best.

What sort of wood is best, remembering I live in Aust, we dont get the selection like you do in the US of A.

Guess I'm looking for a dummies guild to scrolling.

G'Day I'm Mark I live in the centre of Aust, guess there will be a few more Aussie here to keep me company.
I bought a scroll saw a few years ago, but never really used it, thought it was time to get motivated.

Cheers  from the freezing centre of Aust.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Bellows Needed.
« on: June 18, 2014, 03:09:07 pm »
After a long time sitting under my bench I pulled my scroll saw out and found the bellows have perished.

It is a Timbercon 16" FSS16B, I contacted Timbecon ( Aust Company) who cannot help me.

Being a generic brand it is probably available in your part of the world in a different colour.
Hoping someone can help me.
