General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: Hey Steve, about your screen saver

I don't think it's the saver. It might be a setting in your raid array. but I'm only a little geeky and may be wrong....lol

A little geeky is how you get lots geeky! RAID has to do with disks not screens
Redundant Array of Independent Disks = RAID

Great screen saver but it does have a small problem. I use multiple screens at work on my laptop and it only displays on one of the screens not both. The other screen just has my normal desktop background on it. All the other screen savers I have used have always gone across both screens. the setup is that the two act as one big screen side by side. I am attaching a picture for you to see what I am talking about.

The internet. The amount of advice and info not to mention patterns available is amazing.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: Dremel router???

Making your own Dremel Router table is just too good to pass up! So I finished mine tonight and I made the whole thing on my scroll saw. It works great. I used to use the Drill Press attachment and it worked but just was a bit more of a pain to setup. This is so much easier to use. I made the hole in the center of the top 1" in diameter which is plenty big enough but not too big. It is also bolted through my work bench so I don't have to clamp it to keep it in place. I also rounded the corners in the front. I could see myself banging into that nice point when I wasn't paying attention so rather then do that I rounded them so I don't have to worry about that now.

Not to mention speed. When you buy from Mike it won't be a week. Generally it will be two days and you have them. He ships wicked fast. If I order Monday morning I will have them on Wednesday in my hands! ;D

It took 4 days about 2 hours each day to complete. I would drill about a dozen holes and then cut them out and rest. You make less mistakes if you keep your self from getting tired. I wish I had found this hobby before I needed glasses it would have been easier. But I would not have had the patience then so I guess it all equals out in the long run.

This is the Victorian Cross I cut out from the Scrollsaw Holiday Issue. It is a series of pictures showing the beginning to end of the project. Made from red oak
