Individually Hand Cut By Me On Scroll Saw. From start to finish it takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour to finish a puzzle. I sand all edges and eliminate sharp corners.
If they are any detail lines, I will take a tooth brush and remove the saw dust.
Mostly adults buy my puzzles as collector items but I still try to make each puzzle as child safe as possible.

Tutorials, Techniques and Tips / Using Mineral Oil -Does It Ever Dry?
« on: September 01, 2017, 06:28:45 am »
I  used mineral oil when I first started scrolling because it brings out the grain of the wood, but does it

ever dry completely? Even after months it keeps bleeding through, leaving a stain.

Tutorials, Techniques and Tips / Brown Paper Bag (Lunch Bag)

When I finish each project, I  will fold bag into pad and go over each item.

It makes the piece smooth as silk. Has anyone tried this? It doesn't matter

if project has a finish or unfinished,  painted or unpainted, it does an

amazing job. I read that it was the chemicals in the paper that make

the wood smooth. I call it my "bag pad".

Takes at least an hour to cut then 30 minutes to finish. I round over all the puzzles to make the edges smooth. If I color the piece (my least favorite part) another 15 minutes. I don't like
coloring wood because it takes away the look of the grain but with a base a little color makes the puzzle stand out.
