General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: Harbor Freight Scroll Saw/Sander

I'm a newby to scrolling but I'm also cheap and an experimenter.  My lines are wobbly, but I'm learning, and I hate sanding.  My solution - I take an old blade and cut a strip of sandpaper usually about 1/4" wide 6" long, fold it in 1/2 lengthwise palace the blade in the fold, a little glue being careful not to get glue on sanding side and mount in the saw.  I have found this to work really well for inside and outside cut sanding.

hello Nicol.  Welcome from AZ.  Thee are a load of free patterns out there, from the great to the awful.  I've produced about 7 or 8, lot of fun each of them educational.

the blade holding chucks are really great except when working with a large piece.  The bottom feeding gets awkward.  I'll keep trying - looks like bear woods has the option of the bottom only wonder how this works out?

I'm Fil (yes with an F) coming to you from Arizona  Hot and dry winters cold but I don't have to shovel it.  Very new to the Scroll saw, and learning daily.  Thank you Steve for your help in selecting a scroll saw - a Jet - it is wonderful.  Started out by making coasters and graduated to Halloween plaques, which amazed me.  The plug in of the patterns is my source and am working on 4 more.  By the way do you intend to update it with the new patterns from 2021?
