I have the same saw with the same problem and have learned to adjust how I put the blade in the clamps.

Instead of placing the blade spine against the clamp and then tightening it up I make an adjustment by moving the blade away from the clamp either at the top or bottom, just a 64th or 32nd should do it. I tighten the bottom first just snug enough to hold the blade and then use my square to know when to tighten the top clamp. Pre-stretch the blade and make minor adjustments as needed. Took a little practice.  Yes the blade will not be perfectly straight up and down but it should be pretty dang close to square to your table.

I believe it will work out for you.

I check this page https://www.stevedgood.com/sswslist.html daily for new ideas, but lately the page is blank with no projects listed. Anyone know what's up?

Thanks.

I know it is in Steve's catalog but I can't find it. Anyone know where it resides?
Thanks.

Very "creative" idea for the 5 ornaments to make the 1 entry.
Well played.

I just signed in without a problem. Could have been a temporary glitch when you tried. Give it another shot.

You can use the attached photo in inkscape to create a pattern. I googled Kairos outside and copied the image. Inkscape is free and Steve has a video about how to use the basic functions to make a pattern. It is pretty simple.

Because "they" can indeed. $760 for the Delta is nothing short of obscene. I got the 40-694 just a year ago from the orange "doers do more" online store with shipping to my home. Fedex lost the first one (Oh Really? They lost it???) so ODDMS knocked the price down from $290 to $239 and sent me another one.

I love my scroll saw. As a real amateur at scrolling this baby helps me tremendously by just being easy to use, maintain and adjust. I built a nice heavy table for her and she repays me by not vibrating.

Did I mention that I love my scroll saw.

I would wait and see if the price comes back to earth.

Beautiful, just beautiful!! That takes a level of skill that escapes my grasp.
Did I see this on youtube???
The part about your wife's Grandfather kind of rang my bell.
Just wondering.
