« on: October 13, 2012, 02:16:30 pm »
Just inquiring whether this China is worth Millions or time to call Good Will.  LOL
I inherited it.  It is a complete 12 piece setting.  Has all the fancy serving dishes.
Here is a couple pics.  Hoping that someone knows about this.  Oh yea I know the complete set was in a China Cabinet for well over 20 years.  Anyway....  Danny  :+}

Had these two patterns that were given by friends in my file.  Decided to cut something BIGGER than the lil tiny ornaments.  Was a lot of FUN cutting these.

Hey Keith....  Was remembering from last year.  I cut TWO at a time.  Used the normal BB 1/4" and also the 1/8" BB for the backer....Plus the Red n Green....  Michaels at I think $1.99 per sheet.  So I figured I had approximately TEN BUCKS tied up into it already.  Then the Stain/Oil, varnish etc.  Maybe another couple bucks.  Then if I use the ScrollSaw Formula I would add $10.00 per hour that it took me to finish it.  Lets give the cutting a HOUR.  Sanding, Finishing and other....  Another hour....  Another TEN Bucks........SO........Looks like this project should be worth $22.00 or more.  Hey just think if you used the Expensive Hardwoods.  Whew!  And the Good thing is that you cut TWO OF THEM AT A TIME.  Cool....  Now here in the Deep South of Alabama the buying peoples are Cheap....SO....  I will price mine at....$12.00 each and be Happy.  Later My Friend....  Danny  :+}

Is a Very Wonderful looking Clock.  Great on the craftmanship.  Was this your FIRST attempt at making a wall clock?  How difficult was it?  I have always had thoughts of
making one.  Danny  :+}

Howdy my Friend....  You did a Great Job on cutting this.  I also completed this project for my Craft Show next month.  Made one with Green and other Red.  Sold 2 of these last year, so will offer them again this year.  Can't remember what I got for them.  Any thoughts of this?  Danny  :+}

Good T.G.I.F. to Everyone.
     Well I have my Annual Craft Show in less than a month.  I have displayed 3/4's of the ornaments that I have Finished.  I cut all using 1/8" BB and stacked each in FIVE layers.
I like COLOR, so u can see I painted many.  Of course NATURAL wood always looks good.

I have my thoughts and feelings about what my asking price will be....BUT....With so many
of you that do craft shows I would appreciate your input on what you would charge.

And of course I always like to here the Pros and also the Cons.  Thanks....  Danny:+}

Thanks for ur reply Dan.  I agree bout what work best for each of us.  Is there anyone that has used just the drops of glue on the outside cut away areas?  To me waiting for a Messy hot glue gun to heat or wrapping all with clear packing tape makes for a lot of trouble removing the tape from the bottom copy.  Anyway just curious.  Danny  :+}

Golly Gee Whiz!!!!  This subject is very NEW to my experience with stack cutting.
How does this technique compare to just putting a few drops of glue in the outside
area of each blank?  Example.  Making each blank a Quarter inch bigger on all sides.
I use Aileen's glue product and it works GREAT.  PAINTERS BLUE TAPE on top with pattern spray glued to it.  Cut away and never any problems.  What am I missing with using hot glue guns, double stick tape or packing tape?  Just inquiring....Danny  :+}
