I took a photo very much like that but couldn't figure out how to do a pattern.  Now I know.

Thanx

Just downloaded Inkscape.  I'll try it out after I find out if Jack Bauer gets killed.

No kids or grandkids around here.  Darn, and it would be nice to see them once in a while.  I'll take my chances on tool mishaps.  All female offspring.

I don't know enough about it to know a good habit from a bad one.

I love my DeWalt.  I too got it for $200.00 on Craigslist.  Still in the box.

Thanks dgman.

....And I'll confess I never noticed that there before.  The way I change blades, by tilting the table, I have never been obstructed by it.  I have no recollection why I do it that way but since it works for me I don't expect to change anything.  If it's there as a safety device then I'd just as soon leave it anyway.

I'm no prude but it ain't broke I not going to fix it.

Thanks for opening the discussion anyway, I learned something and that's GOOD.

Just finished cutting this pattern.  Looks really good.  Now I've got a dog too.

Don't have to feed him or walk him.

I think I might name him Charlie

Well I got it.  It came well packed by Fedex Ground.
I loaded the enclosed CD which started right up and installed the software and tablet. The tablet is connected via a USB port.
I used the tablet to open Mozilla Firefox my browser.  Then I logged onto this forum, all using the tablet.  I opened another window and opened OpenOffice.org "DRAW"  Was able to do some basic commands in DRAW.
Returned to this forum and am typing this review.  Everything seems to be working good here.  I think I'm going to like this device.
BTW, the mouse still works when I use it.  You can alternate which device but use only one at a time.

COOL

I tilt my table and get the bottom end in first.  Then all subsequent on and off are handled above the table.
What bottom guard are you referring to dgman?

This turned out to be an interesting thread (at least for me)

I put the clear tape on the wood then 3M adhesive on the pattern on top of that.

I expect the Bamboo Pad tomorrow.  I'll try it first with OpenOffice Draw.  I've been playing with that and it seems "learn-able for me". Best of all its FREE.  I like the other office suite programs from OpenOffice.org
