Dan,
I agree. I have a rubbermaid storage bin full of mostly white oak in length up to 2 feet and some as wide as 14 inches. I join and plane a group at a time and when I use in a project for sale, I charge as if I had to go an out and purchase the wood at retail My thoughts on that are -  one day I may have to purchase the wood and all of a sudden prices would change if I didn't charge for for the free wood.

My wife is a spinner/knitter so naturally I have some items mad specifically for that crowd. I always take them with me even if I do not plan to display them. On is a round key/hang chain that reads LIVE LOVE KNIT. I usually put one of those out and it has led to other sales.

The Coffee Shop / Speeding
« on: September 03, 2012, 05:54:12 pm »
Morty and Selma, an elderly couple, were driving across the country. The woman was driving when she got pulled over by the highway patrol. The officer said, "Ma'am did you know you were speeding?" Selma, hard of hearing, turned to her husband and asked, "What did he say?" Morty yelled, "He says you were speeding!" The patrolman said, "May I see your license?" Selma turned to her husband once again and asked, "What did he say?" Morty yelled, "He wants to see your license!" Selma gave the officer her license. The patrolman then said, "I see you are from New York. I spent some time there once and went on a blind date with the most annoying woman I've ever met." Selma turned to her husband and asked, "What did he say?" Morty yells, "He said he thinks he knows you!"

Well yesterday was a very low mistake day Unfortunately it was also a very low sawdust day -  as in none!  It was miserable in the shop early and just got worse. I can usually get out there after supper for a bit but last night @ 7PM the temp in there was still 96. Doors open and fan running Today doesn't look much better  :(

Nice cutting. I don't get a lot of requests for moose around here. I like the view with him walking away.

Tutorials, Techniques and Tips / Re: How to make more than one at a time

Rob

I have used many different ways to hold my stacks together. Stapler, pin nailer, double sided tape. I have used small screws put in wast areas. One time I even just held the two pieces by hand for a couple of cuts. Worked out OK, but would not recommend that. I have not tried hot glue yet but that is on my list.

Hate to tell you, but I am retired and I do not get to scroll as much as I would like to either. I really don't know how I actually found time to work. welcome to the group!
