Ask Steve a question. / Re: I need computer help..downloads
« on: May 15, 2010, 08:09:48 am »
Sometimes zip files are auto un-zipped when you download them making it even harder to find. Try going to start, search, and set up the search to scan all files and folders, local hard drive C: and when was it modified, (todays date). That should list all files that have been down-loaded, changed, etc. today. It might take a while. Hope this helps.

Ok what box pattern of Steve's are we talking about. The one from a couple of weeks ago I am thinking of is the secret locking box. If that is the one then you would cut out all white and the remaining red would mount on the lid replacing the origional symbol. http://scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.com/search?updated-min=2010-04-01T00%3A00%3A00-04%3A00&updated-max=2010-05-01T00%3A00%3A00-04%3A00&max-results=40

I have the one from harbor freight ($10.00) for two years no problems. You will have to regulate the pressure down (max 50 psi) normal operating pressure 25 psi. Two most important things. #1 The paint has to be thin, I use spraying thinner. #2 The paint has to be clean, I use pieces of my wifes old nylon stockings to strain the paint. Other than that have fun and learn. Practice, Practice, Practice.  8)

This clock is one of the fist things I made in 1985.No pattern I just made a drawing and built it.It brings back a lot of memories. My first wife and I had just purchased our first home with a big fenced in back yard for our daughters (6 and 3 yrs old) to play in and a nice garage for my wood shop, I mean her car.It was in that garage some of my first projects where made. She loved this clock and let me hang it in the living room. God rest her soul she left us in 1986 in an automobile accident.

I do the scribing for my pleasure, I do not sell what I do but I collect them. In any case it would be almost impossible to send a clock of its kind in America, because it is too brittle and too large to transport, this would amount to an exorbitant price! ...

Thank you Steve, great model that you have already done! ...

I think you would be better off setting a price because I am sure some members will have no idea as to what they are worth. Then they can make an offer of what tools or blades etc. they have, plus mabe some money to fit your needs.
